Textured palettes / draggable regions

Hi folks,
I have a palette which needs to be draggable from any part of its
surface (like textured windows are) instead of just the title bar (like
stripey Aqua windows are). However as I say it's a palette, and the UI
guidelines say stripes for non-main windows.
In order to stay on the right side of the law, is there any way
(preferably "an easy way") to make a stripey window draggable from any
part of its background surface? Or is this also a no-no in terms of UI?
Thanks in advance,
Ken
