great work but I have a few issues/ideas: [...]
b] the interface it to "heavy". I would prefer minimalistic/text-only
interface which loads quickly
I agree, It's probably a matter of taste but I dislike web forums. I
don't find them handy for any kind of discussion, and even less so for
technical discussions.
Not nearly as heavy as some things I've seen.. That looked
positively *light* compared to IU's Gawd-awful OneStart portal system..
(Oh, how do you get people to remember how the web *used* to be -
12-odd years ago - when it was still as it was meant to be - mainly
text-based and rather minimalistic? But now everyone is assumed to
have buckets of bandwidth.. Except that not everyone does - maybe I
should move to that town that has fiber-to-the-home standard..)
One suggestion I'd have: would it be possible to parse the messages
with a script that would remove redundant text - ie it would take two
messages like so:
((A)
(Response to A
A))
and remove the redundant element A (yeah, I like Scheme..)?
For that matter, does such a perl/python/ruby/whatever script exist
that can work on normal mbox files? IMO, Apple should implement this
as part of the "Mail threading' capability..
