I'm with you.

The job that pays the bills is for me to write software and consult on the development process in a business environment. I do Java and C# most of the time in that arena. I have developed software using C and C++ in the past, as well as a few niche languages and platforms.

I tend to be a 'right language for the right job' kind of guy. I certainly have my preferences, but I don't think of myself as a champion of any particular language.

I've never been paid a dime to write Objective-C. I've got an open source offering out there, another one in the works, and a few ideas I'm tinkering with.

I'm more productive in Objective-C than in C, C++, Java or C#. My code is easier to maintain, and more elegant. ObjC is definitely a great language, and probably overlooked way too often.

2 months ago I was a Java man. Cocoa / Obj-C confused the !@#$ out of me.

The other day, I just got it. The whole language opened up to me.

Today, I am a Cocoa man. This language rules. Thanks to all the people on this list who helped me to get this far.
