setting url helper

Hi,
I'm wandering how I can set url helpers programatically
I found how to get current handlers via LS API call LSGetApplicationForURL
but I didn't find the opposite way
something like LSSetApplicationForURL
there is LSRegisterURL call but it's unlikely (at least I think so)
that I can set helper with that function
