I did check out Ken's code before starting, yes, but it didn't do all that I needed myself. In the meantime, I've gotten subview state saving to work and fixed a few display bugs.
I now hope that some kind soul from the IB team will help me solve the remaining IB problems. (hint hint IBEditor docs...)

I'm not a license expert, but from what I've seen in Ken's source, he's using the Creative Commons non-commercial license, whereas I'm using a BSD+attribution license, which allows any use (even commercial) as long as it's with attribution. If someone feels I should do differently, speak up ;-).
