You could have a peek at GNUstep's implementation of NSProgressIndicator. It doesn't yet have all features, but the basic stuff is there

Be aware that you can't just rip elements from GPL code unless your code too will be released under GPL.



GNUstep is released under the LGPL, which has slightly different terms (but no you still can't copy-and-paste code into a nonFree project)
