Hiring a coder to squash a bug?

  • Subject: Hiring a coder to squash a bug?

Hello!

As you might know (see NSCopying thread), I'm having serious problems
with a bug... I've tried many times to fix the bug (e.g. sitting in
front of my computer for 2 hours and trying to see what's causing the
app to crash) and I still have no idea why it crashes....

Anyway... the app is ready for 1.0 except I cannot ship it with this
bug in it (even though it's kind of minor)

I want to know what are the rates for hiring someone to fix a bug and
how can I be sure the coder won't steal my code (we're talking about a
big shareware app here.)

Thanks a lot,
