It does.

I'm still going to have 2 windows rather than 1 with the common items and
others added at runtime--there's not much I would have to add but it
involves shuffling other items around and I want to see the layout in IB.

But your sample code helped solidify my grasp on the nib loading and
controller instantiation process.
