Hello,
I'm looking for a way to control AddressBook's
auto-complete feature - either to edit the data, or to
delete it / reset it. Let me explain:
My AddressBook hangs (freezes) when I try to enter
information into a contact's street address field.
(Only the street address field seems to be affected,
not the others). I *think* that this started when I
accidentally dropped a large chunk of text (perhaps
several hundred words or so) into the street address
field from the clipboard. I thought I had something
else in the clipboard. (I wish the clipboard
technology
would finally improve, this is 2004 after all...)
Every time I try to enter infomation into the street
address field, AddressBook possibly chokes on this
large chunk of text that the auto-complete feature
that's
now part of the auto-complete feature's data. I figure
that I might get things back to normal if I could
either edit
the information that goes into the auto-complete
feature
of AddressBook, or at least to indentify where the
data is
stored and delete the file.
I don't know whether AddresBook's auto-complete is
part
of a system-wide text completion feature or a special
implementation within AddressBook? It is in any case
different
from the "recent email addresses" feature that AB
shares with
Mail.app.
Can anybody shed light on this for me please?
