Why? This isn't a rumors site.
Advantages, disadvantages, pros and cons other than the obvious cross
platform support.
Learn Cocoa using its native language, Objective-C, first. Then, knock
yourself out with as many alternative languages as you can stand - C++,
Java, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc. The more options you have available in
your toolbox, the better off you'll be in the long run.
The *biggest* disadvantage you'll face is if you allow yourself to fall
victim to the "One True Language" mindset.
