help on 'help books'

  • Subject: help on 'help books'

I need help in implementing a help book.

The only info I have on the subject is chap. 20 from Cocoa Programming. I tried this but get message to the effect that help isn't available for this app when invoking help in the app. So the procedure didn't work.

The text's discussion is relevant to Project Builder and I'm using Xcode in OSX 10.3.4. When I inspect the sample app from Cocoa Programming, I notice two differences relating to the target:

First, the target icon in the sample app in Xcode is the regular bulls eye and when I edit the active target the edit window is named Target:app name. The target icon in my app has a different appearance - it looks something like a stylized A and the edit window is titled Target "app name" info.

Second, for the text sample app, I can't find the key/value settings the author discusses. Presumably due to difference Project Builder/Xcode. Never-the-less the sample app help book works as advertised.

Am I missing something with regard to the normal project build such that the target isn't done right (target icon appearance)? I don't think so since everything works on my app other than this help business.

Any help with regard to how to implement the help book or other info relating to possible confusion will be greatly appreciated.

Marcus Staloff
