Does anybody play the .mov's on their laptop?

I was wondering which laptops the fans kick in? On my 800 DVI I'm guaranteed to have the fan kick in just after starting Quicktime from the DVD.

That's probably not the fan. Usually, the loud whooshing noise is the DVD drive. I have an iBook 600 (ages old) and I rarely had the fan spinning up. It was always noise from the DVD drive or the hard disk.
