My built projects have the path of the project folder in the binary and try open it when the app launches. If the project source files aren't there, then the app just closes. Does anyone know what this is about? What did I do to my Xcode to get this behavior?

Are you using the "Deployment" or "Debugging" build style? If the answer is "Debugging", try doing a "clean", then switch the build style to "Deployment" and rebuild.
