Broken Xcode: Error From Debugger: No Error Message

  • Subject: Broken Xcode: Error From Debugger: No Error Message

Hi All,

Following a Kernel Panic I'm not able to debug any project with Xcode. When I hit Build & Debug or just Debug Executable I get the following message in the Debugger window:
Error from Debugger: No Error Message!
After that the thing just waits, the program doesn't run and the only thing left to do is to hit the stop sign.

In the console I see:
2004-10-02 20:58:14.419 Xcode[3108] [PBXGDB_Adaptor(0x693e380) errorForMICommand:errorMessage:]:
error in executing MI command: PBXGDB_MIRunExecutableCommand; '-exec-run'; error msg: No Error Message!

When I log in to the machine using another account everything is OK. So the problem seems to be specific to that particular user account.

I tried deleting Xcode's preferences file but it didn't help. I'm pretty sure there are other configuration files but I don't know where to look and which ones are safe to delete.

Any ideas how to get Xcode running again? Is there a way to simply wipe out the Xcode configuration and start fresh?

thanks,

Eyal Redler
