Using KQueue events to watch files

  • Subject: Using KQueue events to watch files

Hi all,

Im a bit of a newbie at cocoa im afraid...

is it possible to use kevents to know when a file is merely being opened or closed? Im using Uli's wonderful UKKQueue class and its working nicely, giving me notifications whenever the file is renamed or altered etc, but I need to know when the file is *opened* specifically.

has anyone done this? is it even possible using the kqueue stuff?

thanks for any help.

Yours cheerfully,

Andrew Bush
