Each window will contain a custom tab-like view to select which document
to display. The tabs will be draggable between windows so the user can
make a "composite" window.

The documents are editable.

There is only one kind of document. The composite window will *not* be
save-able. It is only there to allow the user to manage the document.

Every window will be a "composite" window, and will allow the user to
move the documents between the windows.

Making a new document will create a new "composite" window for the
document to reside in.

Thanks for your help so far,
