setTitleWithRepresentedFilename weirdness

  • Subject: setTitleWithRepresentedFilename weirdness

I'm trying to set the title bar of my application to the name of the currently loaded file. It works some of the time, but not others.

If the user saves or loads a file, calling setTitleWithRepresentedFilename from my load/save handler works fine. However, if I later try to set the title to something like "Untitled.wld" after the user issues a File/New command, it seems to have no result.

Is there a secret to getting this method to work? Does the file actually have to exist for it to work?

Thanks!
