Unexpectedly waking from sleep

  • Subject: Unexpectedly waking from sleep

I'm having a problem with my program. About 1 in 10 times when I put my laptop to sleep, it will wake up within 5-20 seconds. This only occurs when my program is running and when the laptop is plugged into A/C. Since my program is not dealing with the power manager, I'm wondering what else could be causing this to happen.

Some things to note:
My program deals with Bluetooth connections but all connections are closed when a sleep notification occurs. Could it be that some Bluetooth devices are responding to the closed connection and waking up the computer?
My program can start and stop the screensaver (only mentioned because this may affect the power manager) but this does execute around sleep/wake.
Occationally I have seen my laptop wake from sleep without my program running but this only occurs after several hours of sleep, not immediately after.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thanks,
-ZR
