Hello Everyone,

LibCVS, a framework for accessing CVS is an API for accessing CVS in a language independent way. The API has already been implemented in Perl, a C version has begun in earnest and we're about halfway done with the ObjC implementation with plans to make it compatible with both Cocoa and GNUStep. The API itself is abstract enough that it will allow for further expansion into other SCM systems. The Objective-C port will be thread safe and accessible in an asynchronous fashion, possibly through the use of DO.

The Objective-C project is looking for participants. There is still a lot of fun work to be done, and the chance to help make some design decisions along the way. If you've always wanted an SCM abstraction in a convenient .framework package and want to lend a hand, contact me directly.

Cheers,

John Clayton
