A simple app

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone feels like making a really simple handy app. Here's a basic description:

A status menu item (the ones on the right of the menubar) that allows you to change the sensitivity of a microphone.

I imagine it to be just like the volume menu item, but with the standard icon of a microphone.
These can be found in the Apple Symbols font.
Open the character palette and select "Glyph" from the view popup, then select the font and scroll to lines 01030/01040.

It would be handy for people, because if you use audio apps or do audio chatting with iChat, you find that you often get 'feedback' where the speakers start to squeal.

Anyway, it's just a idea for someone - I'd make it if I knew how to.

Ben
