This is one of many calls for local groups (read HELP) I have seen on
this list (I made such a pitch once for the L.A. area and got help from
an experienced Cocoa developer - Cocoatech). No matter how good a
(C/C++, Java) programmer you are, learning the Cocoa AppKit Library is
not a piece of cake. New Cocoa programmers are afraid of asking the
same questions that were answered [object count] years/months ago. Some
of the stuff being discussed goes completely over their heads and they
are intimidated by the experienced developers. So the idea of forming
local (in major metro areas) Cocoa groups ( [ZIP cocoadeveloper] a la
Apple User group model) might filter out the "stupid questions" from
this list. So how about it Los Angeles Metro Area (or any other area
:)?. This is also good for those Software Engineers who don't speak
English well since explaining their programming blues (when to retain
and when NOT to) can be a problem. I am willing to start an LA Cocoa
group (LACODE) even though I am not an experienced hand. I hope the
seasoned SWE can come and give us a hand. So greater LA Cocoa-tizens
send me email of you are interested.
Thanks
Tanoi

Hi,
I am a Cocoa newbie and have been for quite some time.
I am looking for other Cocoa-newbie developers local to the Boston
area.
Anyone interested in forming a study group to take up things like -
develop Mac OS X apps, ideas, etc.
