Doesn't the toolbar's delegate receive the validateToolbarItem: message? So you can have all your validation code in one class.


That was the way I thought it worked to begin with. My toolbar's delegate is set to my class, but a breakpoint in validateToolbarItem: is never called. :-(

When that didn't work I started looking at the documentation which is where I learned about the target...
