For a different slant on naming conventions, see
http://www.stepwise.com/Articles/Technical/2002-10-13.01.html

The articles basically agree. The Stepwise article emphasizes the more
abstract or philosophical intentions of the conventions. The new articles
are very nicely done and more comprehensive than the Stepwise article. The
new articles are also excellent examples of how to present textbook style
information on a web page.
