NSCompositePlusDarker different on Panther vs. Jaguar?

  • Subject: NSCompositePlusDarker different on Panther vs. Jaguar?

I'm tinting an NSImage a nice shade of light green using this code:

imageBackGroundColor = [NSColor colorWithCalibratedRed:.76
green:.84
blue:.68
alpha:1.0];
[myImage lockFocus];
[imageBackGroundColor set];
NSRectFillUsingOperation(imageRect, NSCompositePlusDarker);
[myImage unlockFocus];

This works well on 10.3, but makes my image purple on Jaguar. I have nothing against purple, but it's not what I intended. A colleague clued me in that the purple I'm getting is the inverse of my green, but I don't know how to get green instead without having OS specific code. What am I missing?

Thanks,
Glen Simmons
