Rectangle around object

Dear list!

In my app the user can programatically add buttons and other objects to my
NSView. I need a way to draw a rectangle around the object when the user
clicks on the object so the user know it's selected, as in IB. What is the
prefered way to do this? I already have the mouseDown code in place, but
how do I draw the rectangle?

Peter
