WWDC 2005 - Is the value worth the price? (OT)

Hello all - I realize this is slightly off-topic, and for that I apologize, but I am looking for advice on WWDC.

I have spent the last four years trying to get the company I work for to send one or two Mac developers to WWDC with zero luck.
This year I am looking to change that, and am investigating and weighing the cost vs benefit of sending myself. I know the prices,
and have checked out the sessions lineup at <http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/descriptions/>, but am interested in hearing feedback
from those who have attended in previous years.

I am currently an in-house developer Mac developer (8+ years) working for a large printing company, and am looking to expand my
knowledge base and well as network a bit. The keynote, as geek-like cool as it is, will not be my primary reason for attending.

So - Those of you that have attended WWDC in the past - do you feel the price you paid was recouped by what you learned at the technical sessions?
