Just wondering, how many folks are developing software which still
supports Jaguar? Will anybody be releasing software which is Tiger
only?
I have a few users on Jaguar, but most seem to be on 10.3.8 at the
moment. Given the new APIs in Panther and Tiger, which can really
help speed up development, is it worth the effort to support Jaguar?
Sure, there are cases where supporting Jaguar is easy. For example,
table striping, where you can code your own version for Jaguar, but
use the built-in implementation on Panther. However for things like
Binding and CoreData the cost is much higher as these features really
impact across the entire application.
So, is this the end for 'jagwire' ? Or are developers going to
continue to support it for a bit longer?

Simon
