You need to explain what you are trying to do, since it is not at all
obvious.

NSObjectController and everything works fine. I can add/delete and

Trying to bind any bit of it, including just the NSArrayController,
to a NSUserDefaults or NSUserDefaultsController gets me nothing but
errors. Is there any example out there that can walk me through
this or am i just going to have to break down and code the
preferences manually.
I had such high hopes for bindings and getting this to work is
killing me.
