Hey all,
This message is a little off-topic, so I apologize upfront. I
have been a silent member of this list for some time. Though, I have
always been a Macintosh fan, I bought my first Mac in 2001 - a
PowerMac G4. I originally bought it for a studio that I was running,
but when I sold off the studio, I kept the Mac.
As time has progressed, I have found myself on the Mac more and
more.... but I have never considered myself as a "switcher"... like I
said, I have always been a Mac fan. Anyway, my formal education is in
Computer Science, and I enjoy the feeling of the Mac and Mac Dev
communities. Both remind me of the computer communities of 20 years
ago... back in the 8-bit days.
I am currently teaching myself Objective-C and the Cocoa
frameworks. So reading through this list definitely helps. I hope
that I can be a productive member of the Mac community one day - as a
programmer. I just wanted to introduce myself and to make some Mac
Dev friends... since I seem to live in a Mac baron area of the country.
Thanks for everything.
