NSComboBoxCell looks like NSPopupButtonCell

NSComboBoxCell doesn't look like a normal combo box.
It also looks like an NSPopupButtonCell. This is ambiguous, and non-
intuitive to the user.
What is happening is, that some users are seeing these combo boxes in
the NSTableView, and not realising that the text is editable.
Is there some way I can modify the cell's drawing, so that it has an
editfield-like border? I don't know very much about modifying
controls standard behaviours by overriding stuff.
Also, the company I'm working for wants me to make an NSBox have a
different colored background. Is this modification possible? Any idea
how?
