I am working on it further. I've nearly figured out how to do
arbitrary mesh transforms (used for things like the genie), and when
that egg's cracked, the world is our oyster. :)
Until they change it all around for Intel at least. :)
Yeah, well, I guess I can only burn that bridge when I get to it - I
too don't have an Intel machine. I can't see why it would be a
problem, though. The API hasn't changed significantly from 10.3 to
10.4, and there's now quite a few Apple (and outside) apps which
appear to depend on at least some aspects of it.
I also forgot, on my previous email, to add the standard disclaimer -
the Rotated Windows app uses private APIs that are subject to change
in future, and Apple reserves the right to claim your first born
child if you use them, etc etc. Standard boilerplate. :)
FWIW, Word uses the genie effect to show/hide it's palettes, but I
could not find any evidence that it uses CoreGraphics for this... but
it predates Quartz Composer by far... so I have no idea how they're
doing it. Then again, it's some kind of evil bastard application
(i.e. Carbon), so I really can't debug it. :)
