gcc-4.0 with exit code 1

Hi All.

When I switch the Active Build Configuration in XCode from development to deployment, and try to compile, I get an error 'gcc-4.0 with exit code 1' . Also, a warning 'warning prebinding disabled because dependent library:/System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/AppKit can't be searched'.

Does anybody know what is going on here?
