Setting default font for NSTextView in IB?

Is it possible to set the default font for an NSTextView (*) from IB? If I set the font using the font panel, then run in the simulator, I always get the default when I type - Helvetica 12.

(*)I'm interested in setting the default both for the multiple font and single font variants of NSTextView.
