i encountered the following while working on the bug handling in my
app. i can recreate it with a simple project as follows:
in xcode 2.1, create a new cocoa core data document app. don't write
any code, just build and run it.
in the new app, choose save (or save as -- it doesn't matter) this works fine.
close the doc and open a new untitiled document.
at the finder create a folder and set it so that there is no access
allowed by you, your group, or others.
back in the app, attempt to save the untitled document in this
restricted folder -- this will fail as it should (but the error
message isn't really all that helpful!)
now attempt to save the untitled document in a valid location. this
now fails!!! and won't succeed until you quit and relaunch the app!
if this is not a known bug, i'd be happy to write up a bug report.
but in the meantime, can anyone suggest a workaround?
