Uniform type identifier support in Cocoa or lack thereof

  • Subject: Uniform type identifier support in Cocoa or lack thereof

Hi all,
I wasn't at WWDC this year :( so I may have missed the news. Maybe someone can clue me in as to if and when Cocoa will have support to use Uniform Type Identifiers in the ways that Carbon does, such as in open/save panels. I love Cocoa, almost as much as I like not having to use file extensions, and I see UTIs as a better way to manage file types and creators than the old type/creator codes.

Dave
