There is no cocoa way of doing this that I know of, but there is a
very good open source libraries. Here are some options:
Jakarta POI - a java library
libole2 - but this is GPL
The work doc format support in cocoa must read these files too, I
don't know if there is a low level way of accessing that functionality.
