Paul,
I think you are going to have to tell us the rest of the story. ;) You say
that you've created init methods, but the functionality you say you need
seems like it should simply be in those init methods. Are we all missing
something critical here?

It seems like the answer to this question should be obvious to me but
I can't work it out.
I have created my own object based on NSObject and I have my own init
method that I pass in various variables to set up my object for use.
Is there a method for NSObject that gets called on the object's
creation? I want to, for example, set up an NSArray of values that
can be used throughout the use of the object.
