Well I see your all points. Perhaps it is true that developing is
more than just writing code and using a compiler/linker. I don't want
to start a flamewar. It was just the change from 10.4.2 to 10.4.3
that surprised me. Probably I have been going to the same steps as
any beginner in the XCode - ObjC world.
Thanks to all for your explanations. Next time I will ask questions
about NIB's ;-)

As there is no such requirement, I don't see what your problem is?
Just create your GUI components programmatically if that suits you
better.
