can I bind images to NSButtonCells in a NSMatrix?

I have been working to bind images to NSButtonCells in a NSMatrix. I have been able to bind contentValues to the matrix which appears to set the title of a buttonCell but I want to be able to bind the image of the buttonCell. Is that possible. I have spent many hours reading posts, lists and docs but can not find any info. Very frustrated.
