Exactly, but that then brings me back to my original post because in
doing so (creating GUI components programmatically) something has
changed from 10.4.2 to 10.4.3 a this last version does not provide
anymore a mainMenu by default.

Just create GUI components programmatically. There's nothing
prevents you from doing this. just most people does not want to
create GUI programmatically(It's very tedious job, but anyway
sometimes you will need this, I know).
