Reducer Tutorial leak?

  • Subject: Reducer Tutorial leak?

I am a newbie at MallocDebug, but am trying to understand why MallocDebug reports a 40 byte leak in Apple's Reducer tutorial (Reducer.zip, 1.02M) immediately upon selecting Leaks from the popup. What confuses me more is that a 553.6 leak is reported after stopping Reducer and then launching it again under MallocDebug.

I have read MallocDebug's help/using documentation several times, but this hasn't allowed me to understand the problem.

Does anyone know if the "Xcode Tools Sensei" book offers any help in trying to understand the hex code associated with leaks? Are there better materials to learn MallocDebug other than those it includes?

Thank you.
