Slightly OT: simulating a dock icon click via an AppleEvent (or otherwise)

Hi everyone,

I have a system menu that does things with skype. One of the menu options brings skype to the foreground (using obvious applescript) but what I want it to do is to bring the main skype window to the foreground even if the user has closed it.

The skype cocoa api has no method to do that and it's applescript dictionary doesn't offer any hints either.

BUT, when you click on the dock icon, skype reacts with exactly the behaviour I want which got me wondering if there is any system standard way to send a "dock icon click" event to an application?

Cheers,

/Mark
