Unfortunately, this is 'hackish' and overrides a non-public method and could break. You should not use this in shipping applications as it may very well break your app the next time your user applies system updates.

Yes, this is hackish since it uses an internal method. I don't really recommend overriding them. I'll make a note on our internal bug report that more people are wanting the ability to customize drag and drop highlighting.
