I respectfully disagree.
Beginner or no, there's still plenty of help we can offer. I don't
think it unreasonable to expect some of the 'newbies' on this list to
be new to programming in general, having chosen Cocoa as their first
environment. A little patience and a good solid starting point are
all that's needed.
Francesca:
There are a number of excellent resources for getting started with
Cocoa. I recommend the following CocoaDev Wiki page which serves as
an excellent signpost to "required reading" to get you started:
http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?CocoaIntroduction
There is also Apple's Getting Started intro here:
http://developer.apple.com/referencelibrary/GettingStarted/
GS_Cocoa/index.html
This part will require plenty of patience and persistence on your
part; you have a lot to learn before you'll be able to do anything
particularly useful. Make these documents your friend; know them
well, listen to all their secrets, hold their hair when they're
sick ... :-)
Seriously, stick with it. If you have *specific* questions, try
searching this list's archives first (chances are, your question has
been asked - and answered - a million times before if you're a
newbie), then if you can't find an answer, post away (either here or
the CocoaDev wiki at www.cocoadev.com).
Good luck!
