I'm a few weeks away from finishing an IB palette for such tabs. I
have the look and function in my app - I'm in the process of
divorcing the control and cells from any dependencies with the rest
of my application (and learning much about design in the process :-)
It'll be a BSD license when I get it out there.
If you are in a hurry, the Shiira project has an implementation of
safari style tabs, although I find their source hard to swim through
(which might also reflect my design skills). Relevant classes are
HTSRTabBarView and SRTBISafariStyleCell.
