EXECUTABLE_NAME in Cocoa project templates

  • Subject: EXECUTABLE_NAME in Cocoa project templates

The Cocoa project templates changed with Xcode 2.2. One thing I've noticed is that the Executable name in info.plist has been changed to use what looks like a value from the build settings: $ {EXECUTABLE_NAME}. When I go into the build settings, I cannot find a setting under that key value however. Where does it pull this value from? Is it something else besides a build setting, or does it use a default value if this value isn't explicitly set?

(Note - I'm not trying to change the value, I'm just researching where it comes from, because I thought that the dollar sign and brackets indicated it a build setting and the only place I find a reference to this in Apple's documentation is in the XCode 2.2 Build Settings Notes, so I'm confused why I can't find this particular setting).

Thanks much
Jeff
