Would it perhaps be possible to add this data in a way that doesn't
affect the ability to read this file on other platforms? How about
adding it to the resource fork (I know, not very Mac OS X...) as a
last resort?
Also, now that I've tested some more, the thing I'm doing doesn't
work if the filename has changed. :(
Any other ideas?
You might be able to base your ability to recognize the file on a
hash of the file data?
Perhaps combined with a local lookup table of aliases to files, and
their keys in the keychain.
