Beyond your absolute control, but certainly not outside the reach of
your influence.

Use the debugging tools at your hands to try and determine the actual
cause of the problem? ;-)

I agree with Finlay.

Problems of this nature (crashes in Apple's code) could also be simple memory management errors (improper balancing of retain - release, et.c.), and not at all related to running out of available memory.
