What about licensing? If you plan to sell your product
then check what MySql has. There has been a lot of
debate about that. I have been using postgresql
(postgresqlÂ’s license is the most open) for almost 5
years and I have installations that have never been
down (not a missed day). Then there is SqlLite. Apple
is using that as an embedded sql database for Tiger
and spotlight. This has been in the press quite a bit.
