What does it mean when a field in a form displays with "No Selection"
as grayed-out text and I am unable to enter a value in the field? What
did I do wrong in my bindings setup?

The text "No Selection" is the default text for the 'no selection
placeholder'. Say you have a table view bound to an array controller,
and a text field bound to 'selection.something' of the array controller-
if nothing is selected in the table view, your text field will show the
string of the 'no selection placeholder'.

Although I've seen this go weird on a few occasions. Weird as in buggy, because another field would be bound to the same controller & key and show that there definitely was a valid selection. So take heed.

Steven Kramer
